OUR HISTORY

Commencing from humble beginnings, the current Director, Jimmy Yap, started as a sole trader in 1984 providing his services as a welder and fitter for various metalwork companies at the time.

In 1985, his work was recognised by the head contractor and he was offered the opportunity to deliver his own project - ..., with the increase in business Yap Engineering Pty Ltd was formed with Co-Director and CFO Thi Ly. Together they built an enterprise which has worked on or has had a part to play in the development of the Sydney built environment. Some earlier projects YAP has worked on include:
